Rush begins his program today talking about groupthink or the end of curiosity, the end of suspicion. People afflicted by groupthink are unable to think outside the way the other members of their group think. Hence, they can't fix their problem. As an example, Rush mentions ESPN and NFL, both suffering from huge ratings declines because of the Leftist politicization infecting their shows. Eric Bolling has been victimized by people on social media celebrating the death of his son (alleged drug overdose) one day after Eric was fired by Fox News.
Rush is still upset at the way the Left has smeared him in the media and social media for comments he made about Hurricane Irma. He was accused of saying things he did not say. He never said it would not be big. You are never supposed to take an alternative way of looking at things outside the groupthink. The Left has an agenda that they seek to advance, using every public event they can. There isn't even a misunderstood joke to base this latest smear of Rush on. It is a complete fabrication. Intentional misrepresentation of what Rush said. He never said the hurricane should be ignored. Rush does not subscribe to the group think of global warming. That's why they are attacking him. They accuse him of not caring...the greatest sin of all! This is the worst smear Rush has experienced in his 30-year radio career.
It is shocking what millennials do not know. It is shocking the lies that they have been taught and the lies they see being presented as factual news every day. Donald Trump got elected by the people who are not part of the establishment groupthink. He has been smeared mercilessly. The Left believes if they can take out Rush, they can weaken politically the strength of that voting bloc. Rush does not link Hurricane Irma to climate change. That is his "sin." Hurricanes are not recent phenomena. Irma ranks number seven. The biggest was in 1935 before any of the current theories about climate change were espoused.
Don't you understand? It is your fault! It is your SUV, your barbeque pit, your way of life! If your standard of living is improving, you are especially a problem! You are causing climate change. But you can be saved! If you admit the error of your ways and join others in condemning the very things you have done to increase your standard of living.
But you may not be the biggest problem! The people who deny that there is media bias are the worst! Even worse than climate change deniers!
